About the design.

The Earth Serpent draws on the Rainbow Serpent Dreaming — one of the most powerful and widely shared Creator stories in Aboriginal culture, said to have shaped Australia's waterways as it moved across the land. Kiz Costelloe reimagines this story in deep earth tones, anchoring children's emergent literacy learning in over 60,000 years of First Nations storytelling.
